PROLONG-II wurde im Jahr 2021 veröffentlicht und folgt auf PROLONG-I, welche im Jahr 2017 veröffentlicht wurde. Ziel der Studie war die Darstellung von Überlebensdaten über einen verlängerten Zeitraum nach Tragen des WCD, insbesondere bei Patienten, die adäquat durch den WCD geschockt wurden und das Aufzeigen der Inzidenz von ventrikulären Tachyarrhythmien und SCD bei Patienten, die nach dem Tragen des WCD keine ICD-Indikation mehr hatten (einschließlich der verlängerten Tragedauer).

PROLONG-II was published in 2021 and follows PROLONG-I, which was published in 2017. The aim of the study was to present survival data over an extended period of time after wearing the WCD, especially in patients who were adequately shocked by the WCD and to show the incidence of ventricular tachyarrhythmias and SCD in patients who no longer had an ICD indication after wearing the WCD (including the extended wearing time).
